I take percocet by "watson", and it isnt working very well, I usually take one and it helps, now two doesnt even help much.
My pain girlfriend said to try another maker? anyone notice any difference in manufacters?Im going to have surgery and wonder what they will give me since im "opiate" dependent.

well i do know that, sometimes generic meds are as good as the name brand and my doctor knows this and those ones that are not as good he will write on the prescription DAW

i am thinking that when you go for surgery sure the pain killers won't affect you like they would effect someone who never took meds

they might have to give you like a pain meds drip while in hospital and i heard the patch is really strong but i never tried myself

When i had my surgery the 28 of March right after they were giving me morphine every 2 hours and then after that nothing really did anything. i stopped all meds like 2 weeks before but all the meds they gave me would do was take the edge off.

Me personally,I notice a HUGE differenc in different brands!!Watson,or Qualitest,will USUALLY work 4 me-better than another cheaper brand.My family thought it was all in my head,THEN a Pharmacist took the time to explain it to me.She said,that altho' the Active ing. is the SAME(exp.:Hydrocodone);the INACTIVE ings. are VERY differnt!!,and peoples bodies will respond differently to those INACTIVE Ings.!!!So...I'm NOT crazy-HA!HA!!Anyway dear,my personal recommendation,AND what I have actually done myself when in the situation you are in right now;is to ask your Pharmacy if they can order a different brand for you,& if not,I've called around to other pharmacies to find a diff. brand,& it usually seems to feel as if the medicine is "working" again.Sometimes,this can get a little "pricey" tho',so be careful!Always ask 4 a price first!!Sometimes,it can as much as DOUBLE in price!!!Hint: Call your smaller type pharmacies,Instead of big chains-they tend to usually be quite a bit Cheaper,AND, willing to accomodate your needs a little better!I wish U luck,I've been where U are at & it Sucks!Keep me posted please.My thoughts & prayers are w/ you for some relief!!!

yep, I use to hate to get generics, and some of those were worse than others. Even my moms diabetic medicine, she started taking it, feeling and looking better, next month, a new generic that smelled bad, did not work for her as well. They just rolled their eyes when she told them this.

i can tell a difference...

I was taking percocet, then the pharmacist changed it to a generic called "endocet"

it does NOT work the same for me either.
