Cannabichromene (CBC) is one of the lesser known cannabinoids found in marijuana. Despite being less commonly known, CBC is actually the second most prevalent cannabinoid compound found in marijuana.

CBC is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid. This means that CBC will not produce a high when consumed, nor do you get the feelings of euphoria or relaxation.

The absence of a high is likely due to the fact that CBC binds poorly to cannabinoid receptors. There are two of these in the body: CB1 and CB2 receptors.  Although CBC does not directly activate cannabinoid receptors, it has been shown to interact with a number of other receptors in the body. These receptors include vanilloid receptor 1 (TRPV1) and transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1).

By activating these receptors, CBC can increase levels of endocannibinoids in the body by interfering with natural processes that degrade them.  This essentially means that CBC can activate cannabinoid receptors, albeit indirectly, by enhancing the receptor activity of naturally-occurring cannabinoids.

The main difference between the 2 is that CBC oil does not bind well with the bodies own CB1 and CB2 receptors and instead finds a path around using the vanilloid receptor 1 (TRPV1) and transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1).  Whereas CBD oil also does not use the bodies own CB1 and CB2 receptors and instead just it influences the body to use more of its own cannabinoids.

Its not that one is so much more better than the other, they come from different parts of the Marijuana plant and treat many of the same conditions in the same way, they just go about doing it in the human body a different way.   The pharmocokinetics are the main difference between the two.
