Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

I guess there is nothing I can do about my dh's worrying:(
But something I have done over the past two years is make my life easier to some extent and that is to empty out my house!
I make housecleaning simple. I have hardwood floors that I can just take a dust mop too when needed. I dont' have a bunch of nicknacks to dust and clean ( they would just get broken anyway with boys)
I keep only what I need in the kitchen. If I don't use it in a year it goes! The list is endless of changes I've made but you get the point.
The one thing I don't feel guilty about is making the kids do stuff. They want extra spending money they get to do a chore that I can't do, like cleaning the bathroom shower. So that works for both of us!
For those of you who don't have kids to help....
Can you trade out anything? Could you do someones laundry for them if they could clean the bathroom for you?
Or mop your floors for a couple hours of baby sitting so the couple could go out?
Things like that might help us feel better about asking for help.
Just a thought.
I know I can't ask for help. But my day is coming:(
I feel like I could reply to each of you.....
We really are all in the same boat to one degree or another!
Manny.......yes, I do the giving from guilt thing.......and my kids are adults!
Dix......My husband's a "fixer", too........hates the helplessness.
I try to always remember to let him know he's still my knight.
Hugs.....jc.
Oh...Eeyow.........in some ways, I think this must be harder for men
I have a friend who collects. She has stacks all through her house because she long ago ran out of room! She is going to leave her kids millions though as she has collect lots of valuable stuff!
I'm luck that I don't get attached to stuff like that. My problem was crafts for a long time, but I have even gotten rid of most all of that!
Manny, I'm a collector of a few things.....mostly vintage and antique.
Like Dixie......I'm finding that less is more in my surroundings now.
Hugs.....jc..
