Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Can you SEE me?
Insomnia fixed I just need to go lay down with my head at the foot of the bed and sleep.
Why is it when someone gets a new RX they ask you questions like you have taken every med there is out there. Well maybe I have but I never read the pamphlets anymore.
Mine only speaks to me(literally) about his minor hip pain. He just developed OA in it, and I know it does hurt but when he can be up and walking 10-12 hrs. a day and sit in his recliner for hrs. playing the d** x-box, then get back up here and play on the pc...how bad is it? He conveniently forgets all that I pushed my way through until I had no choice but to have the hip replaced(the bone was starting to die). Fighting with that only made my spinal stuff worse but "I don't understand".
Guess I'm luckier than you all, there simply is no one around so I dont have to listen to that.
My son avoids me like the plague unless he has some kind of financial emergency. Maybe he's in denial, I don't know.
He's upset because I just cannot watch his 2 youngsters..they are 8 and 10 and as most kids that age...busy little guys. I just can't be sitting up for more than a short time let alone get down and play with them. He doesn't realize how much I wish I could:(:(:(
I'm also supposed to be all "happy, happy"...duhhhhhh
I think you all are painfully (no pun intended) aware how much it hurts our hearts to be dismissed like that!!!
I dearly wish you didn't though!!!!!
1. Take the anti-depressant and talk to your therapist. Depression go away, then fibro go away.
2. Take advil, it will take care of the migraine.
Well, my husband told her she didn't know her head from her A** and we walked out.
"Well, you're getting old now."
So, let me get this straight...I just turned 40 and it's normal to feel like 90 when your 30's end?
"It can't still hurt, its been 10 years, when will it get better".........Never dah
"Isn't there something they (docs) can do?...... Ya, put me in a drug induced coma.
Chins up, smiles on. dan
I was thinking this am just I was signing out & this thread this so reminds me of Bill Engval's 'Here's Your Sign' skits only JC threw in the CP twist, I sooo love it. If you're heard him before, you know what I'm talking about & if not you HAVE to google him & sit back watch & please go potty 1st because you WILL have an accident from laughing so hard & please try not to hurt yourselves laughing but check it out because laughter IS the best medicine that I've found so far..........that & maybe the husband sacrifice later if I can drag his big butt there w/out hurting myself, lol.
Oh sure, I would feel better, because so many of my meds say to stay out of the sun,I know...i know....you know more about my condition than I do, MOTHER!!!!!
Well,I hope you have someone to take you to your surgeon appt. in Denver, because I just don't have the time-(my Mother, again)
So, whose going to take care of you after your surgery, because I just can't(excuse me,I'm just your only daughter) Thank you for caring.
"I don't get this...what's wrong with you anyhow?"
"Why don't you tell the doctor?"
"You need to find a new doctor."
"You're too much trouble"
"I feel like that too and I go to work."
"I have the same thing."
"Just grin and bare it. That's what I do when I don't feel good."
