Or, in those extreme circumstances (especially where you are worried about a fecal impaction) you may try Magnesium Citrate. Magnesium Citrate can be found in liquid form at your local pharmacy, in a 10oz bottle (and it is cheap). It is one of the methods they use to clean your body out pre-surgery. Yes, you have to guzzle at least half of it, if not the whole thing. From what I hear, the lemon flavored one tastes better. This works very quickly, like a bullet - so have a private bathroom on hand.
