Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I call it the 24 hour rule.
I wanted to bring something to everyone's attention to see what you think:
At the tip of the home page for this forum there are 2 sticky notes.
One is named "An Introduction to the Community".
The way it reads to me is that we aren't going to get a CL.
Last January something happened that brought the need for a CL up but it never happened as most of you well know.
Then a few weeks later these sticky notes were put up.
I will post a link in case your sticky notes are not visible.
I know they can be minimized so they can't be seen.

Good Luck this time around.
We really do not have one, we borrow one, usually from the Autism board.
Just thought I would add that FYI.
DS posted up in the stickies how a situation should be handled. I have seen it work very well. What some seem to not understand is that DS says you have to violate the "rules of the road". Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean they are in violation. DS has a very competent impartial panel that decides when to take action. They do so confidentially so the rest of us never know the details. I think this is a fantastic system.
There were several limitations to being a CL. If I remember correctly, a person had to be a member at least 6 months, they could not have ever received a letter of warning. They had to have a "clean" post history--remember that DS can read EVERTHING...not only your posts but your PM's, your CHAT and your HUGS.
I gave up on this board a long time ago...I only come here once in a while for general stuff. I do try however to always welcome newbies or chime in on a few posts here and there that interest me.
I am so thankful for finding DS and, for the many lovely friends, who are more like family, that I have met. I stopped trying to solve situations, fights, discrepancies etc. I just choose to say what I feel must and, keep myself surrounded by those who are positive and supportive, who are "real".
If we ever get a CL who "lives" on this board like we do and, who is a good leader...great. Until then...I stay in shallower waters.
HUGS to you my friends!!
