Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
if you figure out what this is all about let me know.
they may be thinking that over time we may be developing opiod hypersensitivity so we go off the extended release for a while and then we get it back. thats happend to me before. I was put on methadone to get my toelrance to opiods down and then he weaned me off and i started back at my low orignal dose. i just wish they'd tell us these things before we freak out and think our pains no longer gonna be controlled.
let us know how it goes k?
So he either treats you like he is supposed to be, or you fired his arse!!!!
Start looking for/and interview a few PMD's in your area, just in case you need to fired Mr.RA and have to go somewhere else, OK? Take Care,

@ rayfoof, I kinda do think we develop hypersensitivity to opiods... as a matter of fact I am feeling the after effects today! I take Oxy OPs and several times a month I have one or two days at a time where my body cramps, aches, feels extremely worn out, feel bruised all over and very sensitive to touch! I also have very intense arthritis type symptoms in my fingers/hands and toes/feet! Does anyone else experience this? Almost seems to me like maybe my body is toxic with buffers and crap unnecessarily put in pills! Im terrible at drinking water and instead have a pretty heavy coffee addiction too!!!
Im soooo sorry he is cutting you back! Maybe you should demand that he just let you switch to something else for a minute BUT make him promise to give you back the MS Contin if you don't like the med you tried! I did this last month when the new "put as much excess sh*t and poison in ur body as you can" oxy OP came out! I told him the stomach pain and nausea was too much to add to my intestinal pain and wanted to try something else so I could nail down the fact that it was the OP messing with my system! However, I adamently insisted that he agree to gladly give me the 80's back if I did not like the new med, which was 100 mg Kadian! A week later I went back to the OP's because at this point, I think no matter what I take now; my system will remain completely screwed up! The Kadian made me very spacey but upside was drowsiness allowed me to get some halfway decent sleep!
At age 31 and nearly 4 years of switching to extended release types of meds, Im realizing that as CPP's, we will likely always struggle with finally being able to stand on that fine line between lasting, complete and comfortable pain control and suffering with scary side effects that make every part of your body scream "NO!"

Did you checked out the 4 PM Doc's that I found in your town? Did you see my post? Just wondering............
