I have chronic pain, I'm unable to get pain relief anymore, my medical records speak, I speak, yet they do not read them nor listen to me. I have spent 30 years going from aspirin to Vicodin, with diagnosis and testing previously to prove my pain, so much time and money wasted. I have never been in trouble, no traffic tickets, no breaking the laws, I do not think the government, insurance and law enforcement, pharmacys should be in my medical records, yet I have no issue with Doctors being allowed access to my legal information,any of it, driving records giving them open ability to watch me, test me by urine and blood tests, only to be judged based on my information in office, not denied because others do things wrong! whatever the reason. My own sister in law chugged a bottle of booze and took Vicodin, and died, I have sympathy, but to clump her and others as suicidal or stupid is wrong, no she didn't want to kill herself, she just had cosmetic surgery and was looking forward in life, but she took a risk, it was her risk, her life, and her death, the same goes for anyone who does NOT follow directions. I don't play Russian roulette, or gamble, I don't drink, smoke, or do illegal drugs, I stay close to home because I hurt so bad. I despise the attitude of the medical community, I am tired of the neglect, and financial rape, sending me all over to seek relief, to be told, The new guidelines are .. or I am not comfortable writing... we no longer will write that scheduled drug.. I am made to feel less than I am, put down, and forced to suffer the torture, the pain, my body feels, causing more than discomfort, I know pain, and discomfort would be a welcome feeling. This lack of care, causes a domino effect, leading to kidney failure from too much over the counter pain meds that do not work, in less than 2 years, while I watch my physical body twist and contort and change in response to valid medical issues and denial of treatment. This is murder, in atonement for others who failed to follow rules, government control for their war on drugs! criminalizing the wrong people, for whatever reason. We die seeking life, so less people will die by accident or suiside? and we are forced to watch criminal, drug abusers, alcoholics, street people, line up at free methadone clinics (paid for by the same people who deny us) receiving free pain relief medication, entitlements, when they break the laws, don't fit in society's guidelines, and use both legle and illegal drugs, mixing it all and still use. The criminal sorts who do not care, want a high, get methadone, medical care, therapy, housing and food, pain control so they can get get more dope, and break more laws, when we need help to get up and work, and pay bills and taxes!. SHAME!
Here I suggest all pain sufferers get in methadone lines,stop all the handouts, stop the discrimination, persecution, because we count too, let's find ways to hold accountable all medical Doctors refusing appropriate pain relief to good citizens, jam up all the courts with lawsuits and make all medical professionals be accountable for the consequences of their actions and inaction, by lawsuits and injury claims, and criminal prostitution for torture as well, if we stop going to all Doctors refusing treatment and ban them from practice because they harm us, list the names and medical licence # refuse to see them, and make them take notice. We must at least sit up in bed and find a way to list these criminals, for what they are. After all who really goes to a Doctor when not feeling pain? or when we feel something is wrong? it's us, the people hurting, we pay the bills. Lets reward real Doctors who treat appropriately. We are terrorized by the war on illegal drugs, tortured and punished for crimes others committed, judged and sentenced unfairly without regard, with no rights, and controlled beyond reason, as we pay to enforce laws intended for war.

The ins cos are supposed to get fined for the first time this year for every instance their info is out of date, or inaccurate, or misleading. Don't see it happening myself, but we'll see.
My pcp dr was number 6 assigned to me, I've got these 'narrow networks' too so specialty dr, very short lists.
Basically you just have to KEEP calling too, as often the office themselves thinks you are covered, their admin I mean, then it turns out you are not say if a procedure needs another dr ( anesthetist say ) or to be at a hospital NOT included in coverage.
I booked two procedures in 2015 only to be cancelled at the 11th hour because not everything was covered.
I have found the whole thing a logistical nightmare to be honest, whatever I try to do.
Medicaid would probably be better, despite the shortage of drs, just because it is established and the 'network' set up, would not have to chase every little thing.
Personally I think each insurance co should only be able to offer ONE policy- to everyone- and it should cover everyone for everything and be the same wage-adjusted premium scale for all; that would quickly show whether there is room in a health care system for profit over and above paying salaries.
I honestly don't think there is room for profit in this field any more, because people have taken advantage and not prioritized the consumer partly but also because it's not necessary. It does not provide/ensure a more unified service, or fairness or even professionalism.
I am sorry if anyone disagrees with me, I am not saying this to be disagreeable, but I truly truly believe that for the majority of americans this is not working, or working less and less, and when I keep seeing that costs will go up, premiums will go up, services will go down, all to guarantee profits, well profits for who exactly?
And it's not practical. Sure, people can't help getting sick, or old, or dying, or having to give birth- but their wages don't go up just because someone wants more of their money for those things.
It's common sense at some point people will just have to do without health care if the current state of affairs continues- which was supposed to be the opposite of PPACA intentions and all the spending so far.
Yes, it's scary, but America needs something different, because this is something will affect every single American and their quality of life and longevity.
