Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Miralax is kinda tasteless but it seems slimy and I gotta have a "chaser" right away lol. Having just had a bad reaction to Amitiza (which was just approved for chronic constipation from opioid meds) I'd say it works but I had breathing issues (a known reaction being tracked) I kinda wish they'd have rx'd 8mcg instead of 24mcg. Just letting you guys know bc with the approval it's prob gonna come up more often for CPn folks on opioids.
Thank you so much for your advice. I really appreciate the input and that you guys are so caring. Today has been a better day. I had family therapy today and I had some good progress with my parents. I am excited about this weekend cus my Mom and I are going on a short trip before summer school starts. We are going to Nacogdoches and we are going to explore in the national forests near there.
I met with my pain management doctor and he said I am an ideal candidate for the spinal cord stimulator. He gave me info on two: Boston Scientific and Medtronics. Are you guys familiar with those? Do you have an opinion on which one is best?

Glad you had a good day, sounds like quite a few good things happened. Now although I am an Aggie...I miss hangin on 6th Street for a good Sat. night of good food and great music!! Hope you have a blast in Nacodoches, I haven't been there since my oldest son was 4.

I would have loved getting a Taser for my bday....my ex was not that brave! My oldest son is a Fireman and he's been on both sides of Taser training.....he umm..volunteered...not the sharpest crayon in the box!
And I am about the pickiest eater in the world, so I put my Miralax in about 4 oz. of OJ and chug it, otherwise I'd never get it down. All of that stuff is on the nasty side.

I feel so lonely. I want to hang out with my friends, but I refuse to guilt them into coming over. I don't want to call them and say "hey, I'm crying and freaking out right now and I don't want to be alone...come over please." I so wish I could. I see my psychiatrist tomorrow and I'm going to talk to her about increasing my anti-anxiety meds. My therapist has been out of town this week so it will be good to talk things out with someone.
I hate feeling alone and I hate feeling like a burden to my family and friends. I want to stay on the Savella cus the PCP I talked to this morning said she'd heard really good things about it and that it's helped a lot of people with chronic pain that she knows. I don't want to give up on it, but all of this is getting really old. I already have enough Bipolar and Anxiety issues without medications making things worse. I'm feeling really discouraged right now.
