Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I'm sorry that your pain has gotten that bad. I think all of us in chronic pain have been where you are now at one point or another. It doesn't help that time stops when your feeling pain. However, pain, just like everything else, has an ebb and flow. Hopefully you'll find a break in your pain soon.
My knees could be doing great, but when my back flares, they ache so bad it is miserable. But as soon as I get my back under control again, my knees are fine. OK, they are not fine, but they go back to 'normal' for me.
I have done too much for two days in a row, and I just hurt all over. Even my fingers hurt. The part in my hair hurts. I would go curl up back in bed, but lying down makes my hips hurt.
Know that you are not alone. Also know that you have to be 10 or 100 times stronger than the average person just to make it through the day. No one else might see that, be we do, and we applaud you for it!
On August 12, 1987, I had a near death experience of the white light, bells and whistles variety. I really was near death, and I may have hallucinated the whole thing, but I think I did genuinely get a peak behind the curtain.
Big Picture reality is better than my wildest dreams. I experienced a God of Love, pure Light, the exact and the only God I could ever worship. I had long before rebuked the violent god of the old testament and was really shocked to find that a God of Love really existed.
Turns out, both in my experience and in Betty Edie's who wrote Embraced by the Light www.embracedbythelight.com, turns out that humans are spirit beings who go to earth to learn stuff that cannot otherwise be learned in the spirit world. Kind of like the way pilots train on flight simulators. They really feel like they are flying in a cockpit while in reality they are strapped into a flight simulator in a warehouse some place.
So here in earth, all we spirits apparently volunteered for our missions. That's the part I love, we are all spirit being volunteer trainees here on earth, temporarily veiled from big picture reality, as we don these mortal bodies and learn our stuff.
If all of the above is true, and your guess is as good as mine but my near death experience felt very real, I am a trained scientific observer, and my personal conclusion is that it probably was.... so anyway if all of the above is true, then you must be a beautiful soul, full of courage, who is taking a post graduate degree in life.
I wish you Love, I wish you Light, I wish your pain will be softened.
Hugs & God Bless
Lisa
On a side note Denbob, isn't that a great book! Hers was the first one I ever read on near dearth experience. I've since read more then I can count. I'm fascinated with the subject. Thanks for bringing it up!
Lisa I will def look up that website. Anything to take my mind off the pain would def be welcome. Thank you.
Mysteriousme thank you for your info. I do take vitamin D supplements. As far as moving around I only wish fibro was my only issue. I have severe back and neck problems that restrict my ability to really move around. I can barely walk down my driveway. I appreciate your response to my post. Thank you.
Chronic pain and illness is a very scary thing. I'm scared of getting more pain. I know I don't have systemic pain like you do, but my leg is always in pain, and so are my lungs. I wish there was something I could do to help ease your pain. I hope you can find a combo of meds that will reduce your pain levels soon. I also find that pain is a cyclical problem. On better days my pain meds allow me to work and move around almost like a normal person, while on higher pain days, they merely take the edge off of my pain. There is no magic cure all pain drug out there; all we can really hope for is some semblance of pain control. I hope you feel better soon. Hugs.
Hugggss Jasmine.
