Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

If you could be immediately gifted with a creative talent, would you choose singing, playing an instrument, painting, sculpture, dance, or another artistic talent? And whom would you choose as a mentor (any famous person in that field, living or not)?
When I traveled abroad in my youth i spent a great deal of time in Vatican city and i still marvel at all the art there especially the statues. And I swore to myself and my wife that i would see the roof of the Sistine chapel again before i die and that is a promise i intend to keep...
As for the question Raggedy? I would like to know your answer to your own question if i may?.....Kris.....

If you had to work in the medical field...which career would you choose and why?
Kris asked me to answer my own question, so here goes: I'll cheat bc choosing one talent+mentor is too hard lol. I'd want to dance with Astaire (love the idea of floating gracefully yet intentionally across the floor - and I hope that would naturally include the bonus of pain-free movement and a svelte makeover lol). But I'd want to create, more like a choreographer.So... draw/illustrate with Audubon, invent/etc with daVinci, paint with VanGogh, photograph with ?, or create public art projects with Steve Finch... I think my list could go on lol!
Dixie, I don't know if I should answer your new question or just pass it along. (don't wanna hog the thread). But how about I answer and repeat it? If I had to work in the medical field I'd want to be a neuropsychiatrist bc I'm intrigued by the human mind & behavior plus the brain & nervous system interactions. I think that field also has the potential for great impact on pain understanding and treatment.
Repeating Dixie's question - if you had to work in the medical field... which career and why?
