Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
I am sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. I was originally going to give my thoughts on how best you could manage your pain. I changed my mind and decided that a testimonial from one of my clients would be best. Here is a brief summary of the first two weeks of treatment -
At SL first visit in Oct. of 2013, she had a pain level of 8 to 9 out of 10 and it was there every day. She was on prescription pain killers for two years. Her pain level was so severe that she would arrive home from work, sometimes early because of the pain, and lay on her bed. The pain was mostly in her shoulders and neck. She had several x-rays of her neck and shoulders to no avail.
SLs first treatment was on a Sat with a pain level of 9 out of 10. On Tue, her pain level dropped from to a 6. By day 9 of the treatment, she was down to a pain level of 4. Within two weeks, she stopped her prescription pain medicine.
Here is her testimonial:

" I cannot stress enough how well your treatment has worked for me. I can honestly say that I never thought that these simple exercises could have produced such amazing results (it sounded too good to be true), but I trusted you because you truly believe in what you do and I felt your confidence. For me, your program has become my 'mantra' so much so that I pass it on to friends and family.
I have to say that the reason I stuck to the program you designed for me, was because I had tried every other avenue with no success and it never occurred to me that your program would not be successful. Your personal experience inspired you to pursue this calling, but it is your quest and drive for wanting to help people that have catapulted you to become a success in this field and I am confident that you will be receiving many more testimonials in future.
It truly was the best thing I ever did for myself. Thanks for all your time and commitment. It was a godsend to me and my family and we are so grateful that you were here just when I so desperately needed your help."

Best of luck to you and sincerely hope that you feel better. If I can leave you with some advice. Remember that pain is the messenger. It's the body's message to you that something is wrong. Medication and surgery are necessary in some cases and do indeed provide relief temporarily and will help you to manage day to day. Remember though that it is unlikely that this type of treatment will fix the problem. In some situations, medication and surgery are the equivalent of "ignoring the messenger". The problem will still be there. Alternatives to medication and surgery would be the best solution.
