Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
some are nerve pain pain killers.
i would ask for something stronger and use a ankle brace for those days when it's needing the most support.
some medication is cheaper and some isn't.
just lucky here in the land of oz, every pain killer is on the pbs list, making it cheaper.
Sending Hugs & Prayers that things work out.

I'd say go find another dr! Get on raceagainstpain or just google RA doctors in a 50 mile radius (or however far you are willing to travel) of your hometown and state, it will bring up a list of drs for you. Start calling and asking what kind of assistance you can get. Also tell them what this other dr told you the problem is.
Also NeedyMeds is a great place to get help paying for meds. Some drs have the applications in their offices, if not you can get it on their website.
Where there's a will there's a Way! I have a list of drs myself I'm going to start calling after a visit to my GP!
Good Luck and Many Blessings,
Toni
