This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
Sorry you are hurting so bad.
Gentle hugs,
Jenna
yes it can feel like it's in the joints but it's wide spread all over pain. My fingers have even started hurting real bad. Hurts just to take clothes out of the washer and dryer!
EVERYTHING hurts with Fibro :( Sorry
Exercise is important with fibro; if you have access to a warm water pool (at many wellness centers) you might want to ask your doc for a water PT consult; the exercises are good and gentle and the water is fabulous for relaxing muscles. Don't go into a regular pool though, the cold water will kill you!
Good luck and let us know how you're doing!
Sandy:)
The pool helps a lot even if you just tread water and walk around the boundaries...I got into a gentle water aerobics class but they changed the times and I can't do it currently.
All the best to you...Please know that we hear your pain and that we care..
Big gentle hugs.
Melinda
Yes your joints can ache with fibro. Anything can. My shoulders are burning right now because I'm on the laptop. Add that to the pain in the rest of my body and it's fibro. Are you on any meds? Lyrica helps a lot of people. I'm on 600mg/day. Cymbalta also helps. Stay away from prednisone because it will cause the fibro to flare. Don't know why but it does. Warm water PT is great and is probably the best thing for fibro. I don't have a pool available right now but will in Sept. Then I'll be there 3-4 times a week. Get a PT consult for water PT to learn the exercises. You will be thankful for it!
Good luck!
Sandy
