Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
On the upside, it didn't harm me either so its worth a try. I hope it helps!
No, I was not pain free. It just seemed like it took some of the pain from my shoulder and neck. I was working in level 6 pain and anything was better than nothing. I do remember that I could tell they were wearing off after about 2 and a half months. The accupuncture and trigger point injections are helping me more than the botox. Have you tried that? I wish you the best.
I still get trigger point injections for my neck, but nothing really helps my neck, but a good massage. I also take a muscle relaxer for my neck pain, that does help, because I know within hours if I missed a pill!
My insurance (a PPO) covers 80% for Botox, and I've been getting it now for 3 years. It's definitely worth it, but it does build up over time (it gets better the more you do it).
Good luck!
