Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

..well..what else can you call life with Chronic Pain? It's a struggle.
Me..I'm insanely lucky to have a good support system..family and Dr.s.
..Yet...there isn't a day that goes by that I don't have to, at the very least..shake off the thought of suicide. Some days..it's more of an all day wrestle than a shake.
Not because I want to die. Quite the contrary. I WANT to live...and live well.
Just seems...every time I reach some form of acceptance..there's a new challenge. ( sometimes just the old pain flaring worse)
The chronic pain group has kinda scattered over several groups.
But...I don't think anyone ever forgets the people that were here for them when they were new here.
Or..the strange relief there is in finding others who " get it ".
For me..that was a life saving relief.
So..when I'm not in curled up in a ball crying pain..
I try to stay connected here. Even if that is a very tenuous connection at times.
Because..
I need to pay it forward when I can.
It's been a while since I felt I have anything to offer..
...been strugglin'.
So..to folks that have come around that I haven't been in on welcoming..I apologize.
I will do my best to be one of the someones here when someone out there Google's " chronic pain support" in desperation
Hugs to all

Can you identify these rom-coms from just a screenshot from the middle of the films? This is a multiple choice quiz so even if you're not entirely sure you can always take a guess and at least have a 25% chance of getting it right anyway, so why not have a go?! https://www.buzzfeed.com/alysaurus688/rom-com-screenshot-trivia-quiz

Don't you kid yourself,
You my friend have been there for me at a few of my worst times
My heart bypass surgery, and at least 2 of my angios...
It is absolutely reasonable to need to care for ones self
I get the struggle with suicide,
I battle with that most every day myself
For me, the Robin Williams situation
Well that really effected me,
It has I guess, I could say, been a trigger with me recently.
I am so sorry you are struggling,
I wish I could do more
But please know that you have, and do, continue to give support
So I guess you are needed
Love n Hugs

I just put that out there...because I know it's pretty common thinking for people with CP.
The reason I talk about the struggle is the same as it's always been...that is our common denominator here.
And NO ONE who hasn't lived in it..
Can understand it like someone else who does.
I admit I've had a pretty damned brought time for quite a while now.
...It's why I haven't shared much.
You can't give something you don't have
( that's a twelve step program saying, I think)
But..I just knw where I'd be ( or not be) if there hadn't been good people here when I found this group.
I just really need to try to get back to being here when new ( and old :-) :-) folks are looking for that shared understanding of what CP is.

What I did find was a purple footed fuzzy lil freaky gal who's held my "psychological" hand on more than a few occasions when I needed it. Stay strong my friend and if you can't then lean on us and we'll do the strong part for a while...
I too think it's important "to pay it forward" to those new & old. You never know what a difference you could be making in someone's life by just sharing a part of yours (ours).
I wish I had some profound words of wisdom for you. I'll just say I hope your able to see the rainbow through the clouds more days then not.
Love, Hugs & God Bless

I know I'm in about 13 forums due to be involved with so many illinesses etc in my family...so I am able to reach out to a lot of people..one forum that I came across which people may reach out to if they have the time is the loneliness forum.
On a teasing note-should I find a brush for your green fur? Might a brushing might help ya?
Regarding the suicide issue-what gets me is on the ads for meds where one of the reactions is thoughts and attempts of suicide could be a reaction to that meds! Like who the heck needs that reaction!
You are missed here. Seasons change and sometime members do
but chronic pain doesn't and you my green fuzzy, purple slippered friend are a bright light on this forum. Always welcome and needed when you can make it here.
love and peace
I hope your pain is bearable today and your feeling ok. Take care
Regards to all
Maddy
