On top of that I have to sell everything I own cause we are loosing our home. We are having yard sales and its about to kill me. My pain is so bad , but I have to get rid of my stuff.
Last Saturday I got a letter from SSD saying that I was denied a new hearing. They could find nothing wrong with what the judge did at my hearing.
He wouldnt let me speak and accused me of being a drug addict 5 times. Plus , much more. Now my only choice with SSD is taking it to the curcit court and my Lawyer is deciding if its worth it or not.
Easy for him to say.
I feel so hopeless. I have a bad feeling this is all gonna end really bad.
Thank you all so much for your help and thoughtfulness.
Vicki
Now to answer your question, "Has anyone heard of pain medicine making pain worse?"
Yes, this theory is called "opioid-induced hyperalgesia", or OIH by the medical field. It is called a bunch of BS by most chronic pain patients!
Here is an article about OIH:

I went to see the same DR today because he would only give me 2 weeks of pain med at a time. I have 10 days left until I get a refil so Ill have to hang in there till I get a 30 day supply to have time to get a new DR.
Today I asked for some breakthrough medicine. He said NO. You need to learn to deal with your pain without medicine. He said it would be differant if you had cancer. But all you have is Firbromyalgia.
NOT True.
I asked him if he had ever been at a pain level of 10. He said no. I told him that I have many times. When you are in that much pain running your car into a brick wall looks really good. And , by the way who are you to tell me I am not in as much pain as someone with cancer. How would you know how I feel? or how someone with cancer feels.
He had no reply and just left the room.
He sent the nurse back in with a pain contract that said I am taking pain medicne for Fibro and nothing else. I refused to sign it. It was not right , I have many more problems and have never gotten pain medicine for my Fibro. I have gotten it only for my neck pain.
My medical record has so many errors on it as it is and I am not gonna sign something just to get more pills.
So, who knows in 10 days if he will refil my rx.
I was so angry and hurt on so many levels. To be told you need to learn to deal with your pain is ..... well there is no excuse to treat someone like that.
The nurse told me all the Dr's are stopping pain medicine because the DEA is turning up the heat in the pacific NW.
He needs to be reminded of " First do no harm " That comes in many forms.
I feel angry and very hopeless.
I could scream but it would hurt my neck.
Thanks for reading.

Did your lawyer pursue requesting that the judge recuse himself due to predjudice? If you go to Vocational Rehab, and tell them you want to go to school, it might help your case.
Isn't it funny how we all seem to develop a bit of agorophobia? I wonder if it's a misnomer. Maybe we have the disorder: "fuckedupsocietyfullofassholesphobia", and we just see it more clearly.
