Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...
You have many friends here-where else can you meet all these people in one day replying to you and cheering you on?
Hope you have better days ahead.
Perhaps I'm wrong but I think most of us have felt the lose of relationships do to our pain, that hurts at any age. I'm blessed as my BF understands & we have been friends since we were children, we are in our 40s now. My family on the other hand have not stood by my side. That hurts & I do believe we learn who really cares.
True friends will stand by you & even when your not a CPer that is hard to find. This is a wonderful group, I think you'll find understanding here & friends of all ages.
God bless, Sammy
49 now, but due to crashing a helicopter, been in the pain mode since I was 21. Not fun, but you truly will know how your friends are. Have you looked around your town/city to see if there is a chronic pain support group or community center and can connect with?
When I lived in upper state New York I joined a support group and it was wonderful and life changing for the better. My whole frame of mind changed for the better, pain and all! About to have surgery #7, and I am still a pretty happy person over all. Welcome to the group!!! *HUGZ*
I got pregnent with my 2nd child, One Saturday I felt really weird too weird to ignore so I called the Dr (first time ever called a doctor on off hours.)
He said come in Monday morning there is a litle something I see in the ultrasound. Sunday my husbands' family comes to visit. I tried to be a gracious host but was I glad when they left. I sat on the couch. Blood started pouring out of me like you have never seen. I got to the hospital all night long I begged and bawled to know if my baby was ok, there were a lot of nurses, they pretended not to hear me/ Writing this gives me the creeps. One nurse was brave and sweet enough to talk to me, it at least gave me hope that maybe our girl was still alive..
Well anyway baby was still alive but we (both were nowhere out of danger).) I had to have complete bed rest I believe on my back and when I started to bleed I had to go back to hospital. I could not even hug my sweet one and a half year son or help him (he wanted to get potty trained.)
I laid there alone, tv off, tv bugged me and just prayed and prayed and prayed he'd save her. My dear friends prayed too and I think I was on a lot of prayer chains. Laying there alone was not only lonely I was scared out of my wits I'd hemorage again. But God was there with me it just took me awhile to figure that out,
We made it. The dr. admitted he did not think it was going to have a good ending (one can say that when its over) We were healed I have the most specal sweet creative giving young woman in this house, We were both sick oddly enough, my guess is I gave her lyme in utero. but we got treated off and on and she is doing I hope remarkable. I think she is ok. I, did not do as well i have ms or fibro or non-seronegative rhematoid arthris. Lol spin the ball and see your diagnosis.
You are so young and pretty and I am going to pray for a total complete healing for you. I do not care if I get kicked off (not supposed to talk about God unless it's a spiritual group.) I am praying for a total complete healing and sweetie you are not alone. When I was at my lowest scared bedridden I felt something, something nice something comforting. It was the Holy spirit sent to help me get through this. I just had to look a little.
I bet it would have helped me to have this site when I was layin in bed wondering if I was going to hemorage any minute and lose my girl.
Please excuse the spelling errors I used to be top of the class, really no lie Lol. Seriously I was a good student and things came easy to me, well not anymore, theres some brain malfuntioning a shrink said I was doomed. I have to giggle at that, wanted to cry then but now it seems hilarious. Things will get better and you are very very loved. Lisa
