Chronic Pain Support Group
Physicians and professionalsdefine pain as chronic if it lasts longer than three to six months and is persistent. It's distinct from acute pain that is a direct result of injury or trauma. This support group is dedicated to those suffering from chronic pain. Discuss treatments that have worked for you, find advice for your specific experience, and find support. You're not...

HI Jason! Welcome.
I am sorry that you are here, but this place is good if you need it! There are many helpful people on here and people are great about offering their trials/experience, support, education, resources and HUGS.
HUGS!
The only person I know with your condition on here is ChipChip and he's usually on here late at night!
There are many different kinds of chronic pain conditions on here and all are welcome to join this supportive and encouraging group.
Big Welcoming Hug to you,
Toni
I first want to say that I am sorry that you have the need to be here, but I am glad that you joined our family. There are so many wonderful, supportive people here and I am sure that if you can't seem to find an answer, our wonderful researchers ( as I call them ) will look it up for you. That is how caring a lot of the people on here are. They will actually take the time to look things up for you, explain things, and give support. We also enjoy joking around and making each other laugh, spit things at our computers and possibly wet ourselves!!! Don't be afraid, we just know that we all need a good laugh once in a while. Hence the Flogging parties. Please feel free to join in on the fun, just don't drink anything while joining, and use the bathroom before hand. Take it from someone that has been there! LOL. Oh, and don't forget your ice!!! You will understand soon. I hope that we see you on here a lot and hope to have a new person to Flog!!! In a good way that is. Tee hee. Right Everyone? Let me be the first to Flog you and your pain.
Flogs to Jason, a much welcomed Newbie!!
Hugs, Love and Hopefully Laughter,

Getting older with Chronic Pain is a real worry for me also.
Welcome to the group.
Sunny
Welcome to the group!
Do not worry too much about the hardships of growing older. Focus on now. Make all the dreams that are physically difficult happen now. For example, I like traveling and climbing mountains, so I hiked the Alps, Himalayas, Rockies, Patagonia, etc when I was in my 20s and 30s.
Keep walking and stretching. That may help with the muscle spasms. Yoga does wonders!
I also agree to get a muscle relaxer and possibly opioids. I take Norflex during the day and Valium at night.
I'm glad ChipChip is still on here once and a while. I miss him! Jason, you should contact him.
I hope you find the answers and support you need and deserve.
:-)
i'm 30, so a youngin too (at least i think so). it sucks, huh? chronic makes a great suggestion - do everything you can do now! no regrets, live life to the fullest. and while you're doing that, this board is a great place to make some new friends, tell your new adventures to, and vent
to on the tough days. some of us have been here for years, some for
just a few days, but for the most part we're all pretty cool.
except for tipper ... she's just plain crazy. :D
xoxo, misa
