Chronic myelogenous leukemia affecst the balance of blood cells in the body, disrupting the normal balance. The cancer cells eventually begin to outnumber and push out the good cells, and could lead to anemia and easier bleeding/bruising. New video from Patient Power: Study Brings Positive Results For the Most Resistant Types of CML
A promising new treatment brings hope for patients with a rare form of leukemia who have run out of treatment options. Results reported for a third-line treatment for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) show the investigational drug, ponatinib, helped patients with relapsed or resistant response to prior treatment overcome the resistance, including those with the previously invincible T35i mutation.
Lead trial investigator Jorge Cortes, MD, from MD Anderson Cancer Center, presented findings at the American Society of Hematology annual meeting. He said the drug was effective in both patients with a wide variety of mutations as well those with none, and put the new data in perspective for CML patients currently in treatment.

Patient Power is very good, but I agree with you, too much info can drive you crazy!
I hear you say you have just had your first baby, congratulations!
Having been dx 7 months ago, I refrained from "diving in" to look at the information that was available and decided to "take things slow" as I have been there with another condition I have.
I have found that "flooding" myself with info is not a healthy choice, and have gathered up info bit by bit, and it has worked for me.
