For two years I have had an elevated white count and finally was referred to an oncologist. My official Dx at this writing is Lymphocytosis. In the last week I have had a CT Scan of chest and abdomen and a bone marrow biopsy. The doctor did not "feel" any swollen lymph nodes on examination and I am not aware of any problems with my lungs and abdominal area, but now I am terrified that something "awful" will be discovered. I have all the other symptoms of fatigue and having to sleep a lot that some of the other support group members have described. I also suffer from night sweats, but the oncologist thinks it is my "post menopausal" state. I have had pains in my shoulder for a long time, however, it usually goes away during the hot summer months, but as of recent it has been worse, also affecting my neck. I expect to have the results next week. The waiting is excruciating. Also at my first visit with the oncologist he stated that he did not think that I will require Chemotherapy. Not sure how he can say that. Please if you have experience or answers please reply
