Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) Support Group
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (or "chronic lymphoid leukemia") CLL, is a cancer in which too many lymphocytes (a type of white blood cells) are produced. CLL is the most-diagnosed form of leukemia in adults. Men are twice as likely to develop CLL as women, however the key risk factor is age: over 75% of new cases are diagnosed in patients over age 50.
and a lifetime exposure of benzine was the cause as it is in just about every single petrolieum product and a lot of our everyday foods that we eat.
I was fed the same line of crap from my oncologist as a lot of people who have posted here. My oncologist knew my work history, he knew that i was lifting 100 plus boxes a day, 6 days a week, 4-5 times for each box, for 10 years at 8-12 hours a day.
During & after chemo ( i kept working thoughout my treatment that lasted 11 months) I was able to do less & less as time went on, until I was at the point of 20-40 minutes of physical activity I was spent, breathing hard, in great all-body pain, with my limbs swelling up the harder i worked. Needless to say I lost my job due to the inability of me to be able to keep up with the pace of production.
I also went through physical rehabilitation after the chemo was done and even they said after OBSERVING these side-effects 1st hand, EVERY time they repeated the physical activity that they are VALID AND PROVEN by monitoring progress in writing.
The oncologist NEVER agreed that my condition was brought on by the chemo. He gave me every lame excuse in the book about weight, age, BMI, ect. ect. ect. I think they have an agreement with big pharma to never admit to these things. I got no proof but I could not figure why so many doctors say the same thing when it was DOCUMENTED what I was able to do BEFORE chemo and then AFTER chemo, all WITH-IN ONE YEAR.
Social security says im permently disabled, but the oncologist tell me to go back to my same job I got fired from becuase of the inability to premorm the required duties. So, I don't know what to believe anymore... but I know the truth of my condition, even if it does not fit into the oncologist pretty lil picture of treatment and cure.
