Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) describes a sense of exhaustion and post-exertion malaise, even when you have gotten enough rest and sleep. The disease is characterized by six months of incapacitating fatigue experienced as profound exhaustion and extremely poor stamina, and problems with concentration and short-term memory. The cause is unknown, but it is a...
I can't say that I've had that exact same vibrating feeling, but I honestly believe that with CFS/ME, our brains send very mixed up signals to all parts of our bodies and we experience very odd sensations, at odd times, for no apparent reason!
I've had tingling in my arms, or a muscle spasm in my legs while just sitting still! Dizziness is very common with me. It also can just come out of nowhere and really scare me. Then in goes away.
I'm almost used to this "pain for no reason" syndrome that I seem to have. Odd things and feelings happen and then go away, just leaving me stunned and frightened.
So although I may not describe something as "vibrating"....I have felt many unusual things in my arms, legs, head, muscles, feet.....all of which have subsided and many never return.
This is one strange and scary illness!
I often feeling like my body is quivering. I expect to see my hand shaking when I hold it up in front of me, but the hand is very steady. I'm not sure if this is the same as the vibrating feeling you described, but maybe it is. The feeling isn't isolated to any one part of my body. It just seems to be all over. I usually get this feeling when I have over exerted myself either physically or even mentally by visiting too long with friends. However, it does not happen every time. I have been dealing with CFS for 10 years now. The symptoms seem to always be the same with what I think is the same amount of exertion. Sometimes it's the quivering, sometimes it's insomnia, sometimes it is sadness and depression. It is so frustrating because it is unpredictable.
Hand in there and keep coming to this site for answers. There are very informed individuals at this site.
Yes I've had this feeling and have had several outcomes.
1st is that it could be just CFS doing it's thing, nerves being weird.
2nd is a b-vitamin deficiency.
3rd is a mild essential tremor.
4th is low blood sugar - the trembling/weakness tends to happen after eating something carby and the body sends out insulin to deal with it making blood sugar drop quickly for some folks. This is my most frequent reason for this feeling. According to my Endo, blood sugar fluctuations due to post prandial hypoglycemia are common in CFS patients. Best thing to do IF you think this is you is to never eat carbs without some protein....
