Hello Everyone,
Sorry I haven't updated for awhile. I am about four months in to my treatment with Dr Teitlebaum. My progress has been a little slow because the medications made me feel sick at first. Once my body adjusted, I was able to get back up to speed. His office works with you on making adjustments to the medication to see what is working and what isn't. I started feeling better starting a month ago. I could actually make it through an 8 hour work day without having to take a 2 hour nap in my car. About two weeks ago, something really kicked in! I do not feel exhausted anymore. I still feel a little tired but its definitely not the same. A little backstory - I work at a large CPA Firm and we are in the middle of tax season. I was probably going to lose my job this year because of my poor performance from the fatigue. You can literally see the day that the meds kicked in from my work.
I hope this helps. When I was looking to get treatment and trying to find out if Dr Teitlebaum was legit, so many of you on here helped me. I don't want it to be that hard for someone else to find help. I hate seeing people struggling with this. And I hate the stigma attached to Chronic Fatigue. The day that the meds kicked in and I could feel the difference, it made me think of all the people that told me to just get up and do it - cook food, clean your house, just go to work, etc - what's the big deal. It made me so angry because at the time,I didn't really realize the mental toll that it takes on you. And you start thinking that maybe it is just me. I'm glad i kept up the fight to get treatment. I finally feel like my oldself again. The first time in about 9 years.
