This is a plea really -

Anyone from the UK on DS with ME/CFS and problems with employers ?

I would be very grateful for your stories, advice, help, words of wisdom.

My employers don't seem to know what to do with me to the point Im being edged out of the door.

Im feeling pretty desperate tbh

I'm not from the UK, but I sent up a prayer for you today. This is the kind of problem many with CFS/ME have faced because of the chronic nature of the disease. Your employer probably only cared that you were sick for a short time, but when you didn't get better, any compassion they may have had vanishes. I'm so sorry. I hope some of the UK members will know your rights and be able to give you some insight. You are surrounded in Light today.

Hiya, I'm from the UK. I wasn't able to go to work so lost my job and worked self-employed for a long while.

Also there are disability charities that I'm sure will give you advice on your rights. Can your doctor write a letter to your work place to help things? Definitely get some support with this...citizen's advice might be able to help too. Your work need to realise you are not malingering and that you have rights.

I am not from the UK, but I have been lucky enough to be able to work time over the last 7 years with understanding, flexible employers. I wish you the best of luck with getting some help with your work situation. Renee
