The IVs have helped me.  Before I was pregnant, they were helping a lot to manage the POTS symptoms and increase my energy some.. maybe 10%.  They lift the "fogginess" as well.  Now that I'm in my 3rd trimester the effects aren't lasting very long, but hoping they will help again after I have the baby.

Thanks for sharing this Bluebonnet. I just read up on it. I was interested in the mention of saline IVs increasing blood volume. I was once told by an old Ayurvedic doctor in Calcutta many yrs back (mid eighties ) that I did not have enough blood in my body and that was the reason for my fatigue. I was supposed to receive medicine from him but due to unexpected changes in my flight, I never made it to his clinic to receive the herbal medicine. I have never been anaemic and I'm not sure how blood volume is measured. He diagnosed me with ayurvedic pulse testing.

I have actually felt more energized after receiving saline IVs in hospital on the odd occasion over the yrs. I have never had them regularly though and doubt if that would be achievable here. Hugs. Bb.

I think many with CFS have some form of hypovolemia, which is low blood volume. I really want to get this tested myself.

The IVs are the only thing that have ever really helped me. They are not a "cure", but I think they are a treatment for CFS and definitely for POTS or any type of dysautonomia. I think everyone with CFS should have this prescribed by their doctors just to see if it would help. I get my IVs at a Hydration Clinic here, but a doctor can do it in an office too. It's definitely worth looking into :)
