Wow, I so wish we had something like that here. My doc put me on salt tablet, but I don't feel any better on them. I guess the salt tablets were meant to do what the IV does, but honestly, I feel like it would work better in IV form. All the salt did was make me swell up. Thank you for posting this. Happy you found something that works! Sadly it would be a cold day in Hades before I voluntarily got an IV.... I have found that chicken or beef broth helps get my bp up, so I can see why it would be so helpful ...

I started IV infusion therapy a few months back I go in every three weeks and while I get Saline for hydration that's just the vessel for a bunch of other things to get in my body. I get a dosage of vitamins in particularly B12 and folate I am a non-methylator which basically means I don't absorb B12 and folate very well so I get a nice big dose of it I also take supplements daily in addition I asked to get a large dose of vitamin C and depending on how I'm feeling at the time my doctor make modifications for me. I don't go to a hydration clinic though we have a lot of those here in the city but most people recognize them for being hangover cu depending on how I'm feeling at the time my doctor makes modifications for me. Also at the hydration clinics here while they do give a brief consultation before you get an IV a doctor does not have to be present they can do a web chat which basically means the doctor is online looking at you for a couple of minutes and the rest of the time you're dealing with the technician I like dealing with a doctor in person and I feel that way we can more specialized my treatment it is more expensive on average I end up paying about $200 but I'm not in a strip center walking clinic I am in a wellness center with private rooms and a lot more personal contact and that personal one-on-one with the doctor and the staff really does make a big difference for me. I'm glad the IVs seem to be working for you if you haven't had it checked you should find out if you are a non methylator basically a lot of people don't realize it but we don't absorb vitamin B 12 and folate very well we absorb it at about 40 to 60% and the rest doesn't get processed at all low B12 can lead to a lot of problems as can folate. It's very easy to treat you can take a vitamin supplement daily that is a methylated version of B12 and a methylated version of folate your doctor can prescribe it are you can get it without a prescription for the B 12 for methyl folate you need a prescription I think I had a prescription and it comes straight from the company that makes it. So in addition to taking supplements daily I also get that extra boost in the IV which really helps I wish IV treatments would be covered by insurance but until then it's just something that I budget for.

How did you find out that you were a non-methylator?

I think we are severally dehydrated. Dr. Neville of the Clymer healing Center put we on a lot more salt. It has to be celtic salt. A 1/4 tsp. in a glass of water in the morning X 2. it has helped me. I would think the IVs might be even more effective.

I find it crucial to minimize my salt intake at dinner and thereafter, or risk a restless night of sleep. Too much sodium does weird things to my body.

To answer Bluebonnet08, Some alternative doctors know how to test your methylation pathways.
There are different ones, pathways.
My doctor tested me some 15 years ago and I have taken the Methyl
folate and B12 ever since. Three years ago I did the 23@Me genetic test. There's a section in
the results that deals with your ability to detox or how well your pathways are clearing various
substances also. It is somewhat complex. My doctor also interpretated that information and
there are websites where you pay money, I believe it was 98.00 to have the test done and then
they also give you all kinds of information. It also included my ancestry. Now I know I'm
some gazillioneth percentage nomad or Kurdish or something rather obscure.
