You know, I was reading about that last night on a British ME information website. The authors insist that ME is totally distinct from CFS though and only looked at cases of remission in confirmed ME patients.

Yes I have also heard they are two separate illnesses but pretty hard to know what one you have when Dr's don't know the difference. I have heard that there are specific tests to diagnose ME but I've never been offered them.

I couldn't call it a remission, but I did feel better after the first trimester's morning sickness left. But I had also quit my part-time job and my studies, so those are probably huge contributing factors.

After labor, the exhaustion was unimaginable. The doctor told me that I could go home and I told him that I was not ready to go home. Surprisingly, I was allowed to stay in the hospital an extra day. I don't think that would happen today. For the first 3 years of my son's life, I just wanted to die and be done with it. I begged my husband to take the baby and leave and if he had, I may not be here writing this today.

Wow, Since1981. What a sad story, but I totally understand how utterly and completely exhausted you must have felt. For three solid years, such suffering! Climbing Mount Everest would have been easier than doing what you did, what you endured and what you survived.

Whatever was it that happened in Year Four...?
