Acceptance and a quiet life is first. I had to give up so many things and it was hard, but striving for stability and fewer ups-and-downs is so helpful.
I also take a perscribed amphetamine, for the last 15 yrs. most people here don't take that and I often see posts that advise no stimulants. Without it I would be bedridden. We are all different.
I started eating differently; a paleo diet: high protein, lots of vegetables, NO sugar or simple carbs. I have felt better w this. I craved sugar/carbs and found they are poison to me. Put me right into a relapse.
I also take potassium. Research has shown we are very low. It helps.
I educate myself on the internet. Hard to read the articles but I spend days getting though them. For example I have had a lot of trouble w itching the last 2 yrs. Itching that never goes away, woke me up at night and lasted for months. With the internet I found a recommendation for Tumeric, yes the spice! Lots a actual medical research on it lately. I tried it and IT WORKED!
Lastly, be kind to yourself. It can be tempting to get angry at yourself. Try not to. You, and your body, are doing the best you can. Be good to yourself.
