Hope this helps.
The week before, during, and after my period are all times when I have the potential of feeling so much worse, and yes worrying that maybe it's permanent. What is worse I sometimes don't feel well enough to remember that it's because my of my period.
Another possibility is weather. I have found if it is way too hot or way too cold for me I feel considerably worse.
The important thing is how to handle the crash. Take it easy as needed. Better to err on the side of resting too much then not enough right now. This will help you pull out of it faster. Pushing through can make the crash last longer or even get worse.
And the really hard part. Try not to stress about it. If you can let go of the worry, it won't take as long to feel better. Try a different frame of mind. Perhaps as an excuse to watch your favorite movies, or whatever it is you feel up to and is enjoyable.
