I do know that people with CFS who have persisted and appealed the first decision have often won.
That said the whole process is very tedious, to say the least, and if you are sick enough to need it, you are almost too sick to be able to handle applying........I truly needed it when I applied and it was really hard to go thru the process at that time, but if I had to do the whole thing now (I am a lot sicker than I was then ), I doubt that i would be able to handle it.
