Hormones HELP

Hi all
I started a discussion a few weeks ago about hormones.
Well I have been on whole thyroid, DHEA and testosterone for two weeks now and OMG! What an improvement!
I feel like a different person. Still weak but not so many aches and pains. I used to feel like a 'sick' person every day and now I almost feel normal. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I had many blood tests that came back as normal thyroid function but had the symptoms, I suggest anyone that thinks they could have hypothyroidism but have 'normal' blood results, find a Dr who is willing to prescribe whole thyroid.
I recommend giving it a go if you have not already!

I have been on Levothyroxine with little result, but was told by someone else that they had wonderful results with another thyroid pill possilby whole thyroid. Thanks, I will ask my doctor about it.

Every once in a while, I swallow a DHEA capsule, but noticed that if I did it regularly, I started breaking out on my face and the whole thing worried me a little. But maybe I will try every other day and see what happens.

redfern - Breaking out with DHEA usually means one is getting too much DHEA or their levels are already ok. :)

Getting with a good Doc who knows their bio-identical hormones was one of my first big best steps. If such a Doc (usually an integrative Doc)is not avaiable in your area, in the States ZRT Labs will send you a saliva hormone testing kit without a Doc's prescription. It will give you an idea of what is going on.

About 3 years ago I had what I called "remission." More good than bad days. I remember my Dr trying to carefully tell me to enjoy this time because he could not say how long it would last. Your hormones are still a very important piece of the puzzle. I am on bio-identical hormones and DHEA 7. My Dr was recently at a conference and learned about the advantages of DHEA 7 at bedtime.
