The one thing I feel has helped me the most is a probiotic with Lactobacillus rhamnosus in it.
I have a very sensitive stomach and tried many others probiotics that didn't work. I finally tried one with L. rhamnosus in it and it helped balance my stomach and has made me a lot more functional. It hasn't solved all my stomach trouble but it certainly has made a difference.
I take other vitamin & supplements, not too sure if they help but I need to try something. Also have been tested for other diseases, so far, nothing.
I'm really interested to hear from anyone who is taking or has taken Low Dose Naltrexone for CFS. I tried to get it from my Dr. awhile back and she nixed it. She offered me Provigil & at $25 a pill I've held off due to the cost. I think I will try again and see if she'll prescribe me LDN, better than just sitting here.
I have taken steroids, BP meds, antidepressants, stimulants, and a whole bunch of natural remedies. In my case, I have yet to find something that helps. Most things made me worse. I will need to look into the probiotic. That might help some. I learned at Johns Hopkins that there are a third of people who respond well to treatment, one third that make some improvement, and one third that see little or no improvement. I have come to the conclusion that I am in that final third. My help is in God alone at this point. I have not had good experiences with doctors, but I go to my appointments and try to control the symptoms. I do hope you find something that helps. I think it is a good idea to share stories. Maybe there is something out there that can help.
Much love.
I use sea salts in my bath each night, which helps a lot with relaxation. I also do external castor oil packs about twice a week. It was recommended by a Natural Doctor years ago. It is supposed to be a gentle liver detox and I find it helps a bit.
