Ive learned that for me happiness is a sense of serenity with who I am and with my place in this world as just one amongst many, feeling blessed for my many gifts as opposed to deprived of what I dont have. To try not to compare myself to others except to see similarities, and to see what I can offer to others and to life in general, rather than to focus on what I can get from others. To be able to accept life as it unfolds instead of trying to impose my will upon it and to make things happen the way I want them to (which is an illusion anyway).
This doesnt come easily for me and I have to practice a lot, especially on the more physically challenging days when everything can feel so hard and dark. I am grateful for my sense of humor and the growing ability to laugh with myself at my humanness.
I think from your posts that you tap into a similar gratefulness for the little blessings in life. You just take the driven side to a race car driver's level.
Good luck on being who you would be and not who you are. At the same time accepting who you are now, because that's who we have to live with. I make terrible company for myself at times.
