some fm. Either way the cares is the same, lots of rest, listen to your body, do what you can for pain. Both are autoimmune and that making your body fight itself , thus causing fatigue. Plus the energy it uses to try and work on the inflimation. Acupuncture has worked for me on specific spots that knot up. warm showers feel good, I also have a oil spray called firbro O2. it cost alot but lasts a long time. Some peole find certian meds help like lyrica, cymbalta, neuronton, trmadol, but make sure your aware of its side affects. Frequently it takes trial and error because fm does not react easily to meds . Hope this healped.
As was mentioned above, the two illnesses cross over in many places. CFS has it's own bad aches and pains as well, and many people have both illnesses. They are not one and the same.
A Rheumatologist would be the doctor to see for a proper diagnosis and there are medications available to help you. That's a wonderful thing. My daughter was put on Cymbalta. I know everyone reacts differently to these meds, but for her, it's working! Her pain is less, and she is sleeping better.
I wish you the best. See your Rheumy and find out if you have Fibro as well as CFS!
