Yes, I too have EBV. I remember my physician who specializes in CFS said that was very common.

My doctor said 95% of us will test positive for EBV.

i do too, aparantly if have it for a while, although I don't know alot about how it affects our body other than making us more tired, sore, and actually can make our immune system lower and can escalate our Fibro symptoms. Anyone have more info on this disease with fibro and CF, please share, or at least if you have stories from doctors telling what we can do about it, i guess it is something we will have for life like the other diseases.

The Epstein Barr virus causes mononucleosis. I had mononucleosis in my late twenties and since then I started to have prolonged periods of fatigue accompanied sometimes by some symptoms of the disease, like low-grade fever, sore throat, and swollen lymph glands. In my case, I can see a clear link between the virus and my chronic fatigue.

Yes, I had EBV and never completely recovered. Thus I was diagnosed with CFS. I haven't heard of heart disease being related to CFS and EBV?

EBV here. I believe we all have it in our systems but thru some reason it attacks. For me it was when i went thru a ending of a 21 yr relationship.

I had mono in my 30's, then tested for EBV for years. Now the EBV doesn't show up, but I left with Fibromyaglia.

I have a lot of the symptoms of chronic fatigue and I have EBV, CMV and Parvo, which now I think have caused a lot of my health problems. This all began while my dd was in daycare. I started taking St. Johns Wort, which can act as an antiviral against EBV and CMV.

Yes to ebv here. My regular doc said no connection, immunologist and naturopath both say it is a factor. Sigh...

When I got ME/CFS they tested me for absolutely everything and my EBV titre was off the charts. According to my doctor that number could have been that high since forever....I just didn't know, cuz nobody checked. He also said that checking the number now is pointless, because it doesn't tell him if the vius is active at the moment, or it's gonna just always be high, because I had mono.
