Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) describes a sense of exhaustion and post-exertion malaise, even when you have gotten enough rest and sleep. The disease is characterized by six months of incapacitating fatigue experienced as profound exhaustion and extremely poor stamina, and problems with concentration and short-term memory. So today, I worked in my new market stall in the Heritage Rainforest Market. I had to sit the majority of time due to my fatigue. However, I was so grateful to be sitting in such a beautiful place surrounded by nature. More importantly, the people around me were so very kind and friendly and made me feel so welcome. It soothed my heart . I have spent the last seven and a half yrs working part time in a negative and hurtful environment.
I have been praying for change and I recently realized that it was up to me to manifest those changes. So one change has now taken place and I'm so happy that I ignored my fear and took the plunge. I have a list of things to change in my life...one step at a time. Cheers
It's so great you have chosen to
Appreciate yourself and remove yourself from toxic environments and people!
Hmmm....
I had a piece of 100% dark chocolate after my lunch today. It was very bitter yes, but I found myself rolling it around on my tongue Really taking in the taste. I haven't had any sugar other than small amounts of fruit for 3 months. I found myself enjoying this bitter chocolate more than when I craved sugar before. It was a good, satisfying, wholesome
Moment. :)
My husband returned with lots of beautiful tropical fruit and a freshly made Indian vegetable samosa which I ate in the car.
Life is so short and these material bodies can be such an inconvenience. However we have to make the most of whatever we have and be grateful for all the little splashes of joy. Love and healing to you all.
Today, I found a community of those who suffer as I suffer. Spirits bent, but unbroken we journey on. Today I found DailyStrength’s CFS community.
Aussiedi, I am sorry for your loss. Its never easy saying goodbye and one is never prepared. It sounds like your husband is very thoughtful and your tastebuds are still working beautifully! Oh the beauty of taste!
I am sure you are crashed in bed right now because of the load all this emotional stress has taken on you the last couple of days. I googled what a Japanese Pink Rose looks like. Its beautiful! I wouldn't mind waking up to that every day! I plan to buy some more plants to my life. I feel they add some energy and calmness to my days for sure.
I haven't posted for a couple of days because I had company so I will add a couple.
First, a very dear friend of mine came for the weekend to sell some of her bird feather art at an art show for the local bird festival for my town. She is suffering from fatigue as well, and she was the first person to get me on the track of the adrenals and HPA axis, bless her. It was a great weekend laughing, crying, and releasing stress together with someone that truly understands. We understood each others needs so well and there was no judgment. Miss her already.
Second day, I had to co-lead a raptor route today for the festival. It was very very hard as I had to get up at 5 am. My body and mind cannot function well that early anymore. My fatigue and pain was great as a result, but I was able to function fairly decent for half of the tour. The second half I had to sit and not talk much, buuuutttt for the GOOOD already!!! We had two surprising birds for our tour which made my day! We saw burrowing owls and a barn owl!! You should google both if you do not know what these are. The barn owl was by far my favorite. They are so elegant and pure looking. I really fell in love with this owl we saw today. It seemed like a little sign of strength to keep plundering on. Have good evenings my friends. Rest well aussiedi. xoxo
Thanks for joining :)
Today I was kissed by the sun. Summer is nearing. It was just the right temperature to warm my bones. I'm afraid I have overdone the last couple of days and could use more of that suns warmth on my aching, tired body as I try to rest. I feel I need a weekend again and it's only Monday. Long week ahead, but with some visual of Japanese roses and vibrant lemons I'm gonna chug a long. Sweet Dreams everyone
Today was very hard. I feel like I got hit by a bus and that my heart will stop beating I am so tired. I made it through the work day by some magic. My good moment was a girlfriend texted me with newest pictures of her first baby. He is 2 months old. I haven't seen him or pictures in a month. He is absolutely perfect & adorable. So perfect. Rest easy everyone. Time for a hot bath and bed.
already lifted my spirits. I agree that nature gives me back my spirit and
calms me. Over the past few weeks, I've also gotten out on some special
walks. There's a small and large lake with walking paths in a state park near
where I live. I love photographing the swans, geese, and other birds that
live there. Part way through, I'll sit on the bench and meditate or just listen
to all the sounds and take in the fragrant and pungent forest smells.
We've had a few days of rain and I was able to take out some paints and attempt the water colors, after taking an extended break. So, my positive news, I did a couple of small landscapes one of which had a snow capped mountain in it. Then, I read your post. Pretty coincidental!!
Aussie Di, I can just feel how good it is to sit in that Heritage Rain forest Market. So glad you made this move. That's very exciting to read. Also, I can visualize that Japanese pink rose plant. Little splashes of joy for sure. We definitely need to savor all of these precious moments in the midst of the challenges that unfold before us, which you have been dealing with by the loss of your friend. You have my sympathies. Take good care. Rosi
It sounds like you have found what nourishes your soul and tend to it often. Good for you! I'm looking forward to reading more from you.
Hmmmm today....still tough today but I found joy in finishing a care package for my boyfriend. We have been having problems for those who haven't read my other post. It' gotten better. He admits to taking his stress out on me and promises to work on alternative methods in the future. Anyways, this care package was the first I have done for him. I had started it before our last conflict but abandoned because I didn't have the heart for it. Now I do and I found a lot of love and joy in finishing it. I put his favorite things in it: instant coffee (he is a coffee nut!), blueberry belvita breakast bars, spearmint gum, Vit C packets and Vit B complex pills to help buffer him from his stressful job right now, and a bag of morning and bedtime Hershey kisses to last him every day until we see each other again (with some extra in the box for his real lonely days
Shs is a very kind and giving soul and loves sunflowers.
