Hi, I was just wondering if boils, and mouth ulcers are conncted to CFS at all?
Every time I seem to push myself too hard (which doesn't take a lot at the moment), I end up with my tongue covered in ulcers, blood blisters in my mouth, and get really bad boils.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so was there anything that helped with it?

There is presently an epidemic of methycillin-resistant Staphylococcus (MRSA) infection in the general population, and it is known to be high amongst the CFS crowd.
Check with the MRSA group here on DS - and go see your doctor! Boils aren't always just boils any more.

I still get boils once in a while..Mostly when I drink milk or eat uncooked cheese..
So I don't do that any more. If you take vit C when you eat it can help somewhat.
Also Black walnut hull can help. I took it last week and now my face is fine. Never heard of mouth ulcers? sorry

Kazsta, check with your doctor on this one. There could be an infection present that antibiotics may be needed to correct. Tomorrow is Monday, give the doc a call and let him/her check out your mouth. You may end up at the dentist. Hope this helps you.

I noticed when I over do it, or drink too much, I end up with cold sores in my mouth.
Also when I eat the wrong food it tends to happen.

Could be cankers or infection or step or a fungal infection. Try checking your temp. and put 1 tsp of salt in warm water and gargle and or swish in your mouth it couldn't hurt. Salt is a great healer and plain yogurt and acidophilous/bifidus capsules also zinc or zinc lozenges heal infection and vitamin C, too. But get it checked out soon in case it is infection cuz this illness makes us immune deficient, and more susceptible to germs. And you don't want it to spread to anyone else in your family or friends.

My daughter had these and they were very very painful.It was during a stressful time and needed an antibiotic and a mouthwash that numbed her mouth. Go to your physician to check it out though.

My husband didn't get boils but did get frequent breakout of cold sores. I read that this is caused by a virus and taking L-lysine, an amino acid really helps. We did this and the pain went away after a few doses and the sores went away in a few days. Ocassionally he would break out in these and I wondered if his system might be deficent in L-lysine. So I told him to take the supplement as long as 3 months if it doesn't bother him. I am not sure how long he took the amino acid, but he did take it for a longer time. It has been years now and he hasn't had any problems with this.

I do get mouth ulcers,all to do with the immune system a nd overdoing it.
