Hi All

I'm in Miami temporarily and am chewing on whether to go see a CFS doctor. I meet the diagnostic criteria but I have been diagnosed with biploar disorder which precludes a CFS diagnosis.

Has anyone seen a CFS doctor in Miami? Was it helpful to you? If so in what way?

Any idea how much it costs?

I am not familiar with Miami, but Richie D. lives in FL. He might know something. I think his experience has not been great, though. I do hope you can see someone here in the States. It might really be a good thing. I think you need a diagnosis because otherwise people tend to chalk everything up to depression, which is not good. Best of luck, dear friend.

Here's a link to the website for the new clinic where Dr. Nancy Klimas is treating ME/CFS and doing research on this and other illnesses.

It says they have two locations...one in Kendall and the other in Fort Lauderdale-Davie...and there are phone numbers to call for appointments.

It would be a three hour drive for me in high-speed traffic, and I haven't got enough money for specialized care...so it's not an option for me. I hope you can let us know what you encounter at this clinic.
