Acupuncture can help with a lot of problems apart from pain. Doc usually does acupressure first then the needle work. Sometimes, the needles get connected to electro stuff, great outcome. Especially with a heater above your body to help with circulation. I found a great Chinese doc - the best! I went for acupuncture thru NHS (UK), absolutely useless.
I can only tell you good things about Acup. The bad might be it is expensive in London (UK). I did it in China once before, it was cheap and fantastic.
A year later an NHS homeopath refered my daughter to a NHS accupuncturist. She had 6 sessions in total - no effect AT ALL!
Most people will experience some relief with accupuncture - but it is rarely sustained.
