If you muscles are hurting, it can be related to producing too much lactic acid when exercising. This was particularly a problem for me when I first got sick. The pain was excruciating following exercise, however, it is not so bad now... so that's something.
Of course, some believe that these are different illnesses, CFS and ME, but as for myself, I don't buy that at all. When all is said and done, there is just so much that needs to be done to properly describe our symptoms, standardize the case definition, and educate the caregivers so they can properly inform their patients.
Maybe if they someday take us off the back burner, this will all be cleared up.
I really don't agree that you have fibromyalgia because you have muscle pain, but I'm not saying that you don't have it. I think you need a positive result on pressure points to have that diagnosis, so there's no harm in getting checked by a rheumatologist, except maybe to the wallet. I get a lot of wallet pain at the doctors.
