Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Support Group
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) describes a sense of exhaustion and post-exertion malaise, even when you have gotten enough rest and sleep. The disease is characterized by six months of incapacitating fatigue experienced as profound exhaustion and extremely poor stamina, and problems with concentration and short-term memory. The cause is unknown, but it is a...

I will continue taking the black paste as well though.I did also take L-carnitine and coenzyme Q10 quite some time back but did not feel any benefits.I have actually taken the Co-Q10 many times over the years but it just never seems to help.I was told to take it by both a medical practioner and a naturopath for my heart. Perhaps it was helping on some level that wasn't obvious.I don't know.
At the moment I'm just sticking to a few things.A herbal fluid extract formula to build testosterone and progesterone, the Adrenotone and the black ginseng paste. I find it too difficult to take too many things.xo
Be careful of the placebo effect. If we truly believe something will help us, it just might...even if it's just a sugar pill. That's been scientifically proven beyond any doubt. How we feel is very subjective, even when we are truly very ill.
Until I read the results of placebo studies, I never realized how powerful the placebo effect can be. Medical researchers were also surprised by this...the placebo effect can produce false results that seem very conclusive when testing a medication. Our brains have the capacity to deceive us greatly...as contradictory as that may seem. Sometimes self-deception can be a good thing if it helps us endure a bad situation...and of course sometimes it can be very much the opposite.
Just a little warning about liquorice. It can be dangerous to people with high blood pressure. I'm not suggesting it's going to hurt you. Please just check with your doctor if blood pressure is an issue, before you add liquorice to your supplement plan! xo
The problem with supplements is that we have to be careful because most of us have adrenal fatigue issues (so supplements can overstimulate us, causing sleep problems) and/or liver congestion (which means that too many supplements cause additional burdens on our bodies). Whatever you decide, I would start slowly and at a small dose. Keep a careful record of your reactions. Many supplements have helped a bit with energy but caused other problems like insomnia, depression, etc...
Hope you start feeling better soon.
B vitamins are my most helpful.. High dose B12, 50mcg of B1(thiamine), folic acid, b6... I was deficient in all of them like so many folks with leaky gut and autoimmune issues.
I also like Soy lecithin. Really feels like it clears my brain after about a week of taking it....
