The reason I did the test was because my ND suggested I do it. Do you know anything about methylation pathways or has any practitioner talked to you about it? Basically, they're a way your body breaks down toxins and gets rid of them. One of the sections of the test shows how your genes are set up to deal with this. Another section focuses on allergies. Heart, eye sight, many things are covered.
Then, I had to do another test which was a MTHFR test which hones in more on the pathway part. Mine are under functioning.
So. I have met with my ND this past month to go over some of this. I would say it was useful. I was given a few supplements which I'm lacking.
I don't know if what I'm writing is making much sense. My advice would be, if you have a doctor who's trained in this and can interpret it and go over it with you, it would be worth it. It can be costly because most conventional doctors don't know what it is. Plus, you have to find someone to work with who's been trained in it. . It took me four years to find someone.
