What exactly is my calling?

I've prayed before--never really heard anything back--I've asked what my purpose in life was--never really got an answer back--saw a vision of God and his angels once and they told me it wasn't my time to die yet and sent me back down to earth--so if they sent me back--what is it that they want me to do?

I like to write--and would love to get into song writing--haven't dabled in christian songs--but I have written religious poetry.


So how does one know what their calling is?

That is between you and God. I think more than "doing" something, it is about using the gifts that God has given us. So my gifts are teaching and pastoring. I love to teach, and to care for people. I am not called as a preacher though, something different. I have a friend with the gift of evangelism, and she leads people to Christ in grocery market lines, on planes and in her home. We are all called to witness to the glory of God and to show people the salvation of God, but some people have a special calling.

I think I will start another post on this. Others might like to do a spiritual gifts inventory. Not that it is the final word. In the end, we need to obey God and do what he has called us to do. And the only way to find that out is to read the Bible and pray. Then I always find someone will confirm that, or in a sermon, or other way.

And keep praying, and reading your Bible. God has shown me more about what my purposed is reading the New Testament than all the gift tests in the world. But the gift tests did confirm what God had showed me.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
