Christian Support Group Community Group
This is a place for everyone who loves Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior (or those who are seeking Him), to come and discuss important issues in their lives and find support from fellow believers in regards to their faith and life. We uphold the Bible and living a Christ-like life, not as a way to heaven, but as a reflection of our love for God.

My ex was rushed to the hospital this morning. The Cancer Dr. told my daughter that she has a week or less to live. She has been fighting cancer for over 3 years. She and I divorced 39 yrs. ago. She has hated me for years even though I have harbored no ill feelings towards her. From what I understand, she accepted Christ about a year ago. I asked to come talk to her but I never got a reply. I found out Sat. that she said she was ready to talk to me. Now, she is basically unresponsive. She is not eating or talking. She is hooked up to IV's and they are trying to make her as comfortable as possible. Our son is staying the night with her and our daughter will relieve him tomorrow morning. The grand-kids are being taken out of school tomorrow afternoon to go see her.
I will try to see her tomorrow if she isn't too tired and if there isn't too much traffic of people in her room. I wanted a few minutes with her as "our time" but, that may not happen. This is very hard for me. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. The next few days are going to be very tough for all of us.

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...
You say that she accepted the Lord???...Amen!..just cling to that knowledge, that she is right with God at this end time of her life. This should bring you great comfort now. Praying today, that God will give you all of the inner peace and strength you and your adult children and grandchildren need to get through this especially difficult time.
(((hugs)))
I plan on seeing her this afternoon or tomorrow. This is very difficult for me. I spent my young years with this lady. From the time I was 16 till I was 28. So many memories.
I then broke down and asked her if there was anything between us that we needed to make right. She replied "everything is ok". I asked her if she wanted to ask me any questions or tell me anything, she replied "no. I told her that I didn't want her to pass from this life and have hatred or ill feelings towards me.
I also told her that I harbored no ill feelings towards her either. I again asked her if everything was ok between us and she replied "everything is ok". I then told her I would check in on her later and she thanked me for coming. I walked out in the hall, met our daughter and we talked. She said that she told her mom that if she needed to go, it was ok, that I would be there for her, through it all. She said her mom told her "I know he will". Man, this was tough but, I am glad I went.
We are continueing to pray for your family and you.
