CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
My son was calling me a lot and keeping me on the phone for long periods of time upset but he's still having a hard time accepting the fact that he's completely wrong in the situation and needs to give her time to think things over. He's not being very understanding of my needing time and space too in order to rest and heal and so my husband has told him tonight not to call for a while because he's putting me through undue stress when I really need to focus on getting well. I went to church tonight and it was a mistake, it was too soon and the car ride was so uncomfortable there and back. We live far away and it was too much too soon. As much as the idea upsets me, I don't think I can go on Sunday even though it's Easter, I need to give this time to heal up and not spend too much time in the car until I can handle the pain better.
Thank you for your continued prayers, it means a lot and I know the Lord is working on both the situation with my son/dil as well as working on me physically. It is a blessing that the 3rd kidney was found healthy and is able to function and not damaged, they also feel like having removed a "pouch" and opened the ureter seal I shouldn't have more issues with stones again. Because of the location of the stone they did not feel comfortable leaving fragments to come out naturally so they do spend the time to collect each piece and remove before placing the stent. I know it's a blessing that they found the kidney and repaired it so that it flows normally so for that I'm thankful, I do wish the stent could come out sooner but I also understand that they have their reasons for wanting it to stay in while incisions heal so I'm just trusting the Lord to help me get used to it being in there.
Thank you again, I'm trying to rest and take it easy. I will update again in a few days.
As for Easter, I am sure there must be churches (possibly your own) who will be downstreaming live on the internet on Sunday morning. If not, I can send you some in a pm. I pray for the discomfort to subside as you wait for the removal of the stent. It is also obvious that you have a wonderful husband to deal with your son and take are of you so well. You are truly blessed. Praying for you.....
My daughter's dress arrived today for Sunday, and I had someone go pick up the shoes I had held for her. I'm just taking it easy and resting. DH has been cleaning and fixing food during mealtimes. I have someone stopping by tomorrow to pick up a large piece of furniture that we're selling and once that's done I can return to PJs and be comfortable the rest of the time.
Today is the first day in over a week that wasn't high stress, high pain, high tension....so I'm glad about that and still undecided about Sunday. Our church does have a webcast but I really do love going so, if my pain stays tolerable I MIGHT go Sunday morning and watch webcast Sunday night. If tomorrow night I'm hurting a lot I won't risk going to be in too much pain to enjoy service. I love my church and if I'm not hurting too badly I want to go, I'll decide tomorrow night or early Sunday morning depending on if my pain is tolerable like now or out of control like on Wednesday. Thank you for your support and prayers.
