CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Even if it is your worst fears of autism ... it is NOT the end of the world ... the therapies have come a very long way and the result is amazing. I will add that the one who is an RN did so in regular college, without any accommodations for the 'past' autism.
Bottom line, her brain has healed and she is fine ... the therapies out there now are amazing.
Praying for your little grandson and for your whole family. I know getting something diagnosed can be very stressful, but don't pre-live the stress of it ... it may not be autism, and even if it is, it can be managed very very well.
If your gs is looking people in the eye and socializing I doubt it's autism. Early intervention is great. My degree is in special education
Prayer will give you peace and comfort, God is in control. ((big hugs to you))
I have to take Valuim (diazepam) once in awhile when my tremors get bad from Parkinson's disease, it calms them down. There is nothing wrong with using medicine like this to help us out sometimes. We just do not want to use it as a crutch in life, many people do and that is where the addiction comes in. IMO....you do not seem depressed just a little anxious, try to take one step at a time. (hugs)
