CHRISTIAN PARENTS of ESTRANGED ADULT CHILDREN Community Group
Estrangement makes it difficult to talk about with family, friends, neighbors and church members. Christians are NOT immune to broken families. Talk about your experiences with those who know how you feel and get positive support through your Christian faith...."In these last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self...disobedient to parents,...
Our EC seem to be addicted to anger, hatred and scapegoating.
Actually, we saw more of our ES when he lived on the other side of the US - but, of course, he controlled the times we could visit as he did when they lived a couple of hours away. Control is the name of their game - somehow they figure that if they are in control they are happy, but they are not.
OK I'm rambling. As a teacher, I deal with children who may be someone else's EC or EG - sometimes it's tiring, sometimes it's rewarding. But I have to try to do for others (point them to God and back to their families) as I pray someone will come in my ES's life and do the same for him. Oh, and I try to teach academics as well!
