Things are going as well as expected as far as the house fire,it will take bout a year befor e they house rebuilt.They will be looking at a placement house tomarrow bout an hour from here i am glad its farther away right now i dont want to hear or be involved in any things they deside on.We have done all we can do,nothing else they can do until they move.They have recieved alot of support from the community god bless all of them.Dil children have changed toward us we have noticed it for months,i am tired of trying to make everyone happy my concern is my son and gs dil and her children have turned to be rude and i dont deserve this treatment.its just been building up.dil is very sneaky me and dh figured out they are using gs as bait,and what they are doing to me is mental abuse

Maybe a little distance is good for you. I hope you will be able to visit your gs.

praying for you and your family edr

A house that my DH and I built to retire in burned 2 months before we moved in permanently. We had actually been in the house the day before. Lightening stuck. Burned it to the ground. Once you have a house fire, you will find you will encounter many other people who have had house fires.

At first it is like a death. There is no way to go about this but grieve for what you lost. Then you rebuild.

And what you gain is all this stuff--house, pictures, computer, chairs, guitars, etc is just stuff. My DH and I few everything we have except ourselves as disposable. It will be a blessing. They will have to go through the process. We were made whole through insurance. We can laugh about it now. We even think of things we see and know we use to have that piece of furniture or whatever. But it is all stuff. We are not in love with anything we own any longer. It can go up in smoke-literally!

DH and I too found it freeing when we lost all personal belongings and our home as well. Although I can still get a real sick feeling when I remember the "keepsakes" and family heirlooms that are also gone....I am so sentimental...all the little treasures the kids made me, every one of them kept, baby books, and things like that...not worth money but irreplaceable. But now that we've not owned much more than what fit in an RV for 6 years...I feel so free and content with very little desire for "things" as much as "memories"....want to make some of them with DH on vacations we've not been able to afford...but then again with the world in such turmoil, home is a good place to be too!

Beloved it is always easy to lean to the lie that God punishes us in any way ... beloved Gods involvement in this calamity is clear to me and I see that because God was present you are not announcing any funerals . Glory to God everyone survived to complain and blame . never forget that our God takes horrid circumstances and turns them for his glory . There is a blessing in everything if you choose to see it . Extreme spring cleaning I agree but Praise God for a new day a new beginning .

Gods works mysterious ways this tragic event has took weight off of somethings that we didnt know how my son and dil were going to to able to get through.
