Christian Fellowship Community Group
A safe place for Christians who Love Jesus Christ to meet and ask for prayer and share scriptures from the bible. We value the posting of Christian music, poems, stories and also personal testimonies. Please let us know your needs, concerns and have some fun getting to know each other. We treat each other with respect.

Setting firm boundaries is crucial.
I admit I'm not really good at communicating heathy boundaries yet. It's one of the things I'm working on it therapy.
I've too often been on the side of being used and discarded, fueling my insecurities and depression.
Kindness can be risky because it can lead to burnout, resentment, and feeling unappreciated. It can also make people feel vulnerable to attack.
Risks of kindness
Being taken advantage of
If kindness is the first response in all situations, people can take advantage of you.
Burnout
Constantly putting others' needs before your own can lead to feeling drained, overwhelmed, and unappreciated.
Fear of attack
People may be afraid to show kindness because they fear being attacked for what they say or do.
Benefits of kindness
Improving health: According to KERA News, kindness can improve health.
Confronting fanaticism: Kindness, empathy, and civility may be the only way to confront fanaticism.
which most definitely includes being kind-hearted.
So (and this is just for me personally) I choose to be kind and by so take the risk of being used, unappreciated and so forth. Believing that even if I am hurt or disappointed or used by people.....my efforts and kindness are NOT INVISIBLE to God . He sees and knows everything. And will reward me in heaven for my faithfulness here.
Proverbs 11:17-31: "People who are kind will be rewarded for their kindness, but cruel people will be rewarded with trouble".
Romans 2:6-29: "For God will reward each of us according to what we have done".
Luke 6:35: "But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great".
